Thermo Flex Product Information
Everything about the Thermo Flex
Cold, heat and contrast in one device — hands-free via strap and completely wireless. Here you'll find the key answers on technology, use and safety of your Thermo Flex.
What is the Thermo Flex and what is it made for?
The Thermo Flex is a portable therapy device that combines cold, heat and contrast in one compact unit. You strap it hands-free directly to the affected area — wireless, ready to go, no ice packs or heat pads needed.
It's built for targeted recovery exactly where it hurts: knee, shoulder, neck, back or calf. Whether after training, for a nagging ache or to release tight muscles — your hot-&-cold routine is always within reach.
Three cold levels (down to 5 °C) and three heat levels (up to 47 °C) switch at the press of a button. One device replaces what used to need ice packs, heat cushions and a power socket.
How does contrast therapy with heat and cold work?
Cold narrows blood vessels and has a calming effect on hard-worked muscles — ideal for reducing that feeling of swelling and overload.
Heat widens vessels and boosts circulation, making tight, stiff tissue supple again.
With contrast you switch deliberately between warm and cold. This alternation creates a kind of "pump effect" that stimulates blood flow — something many athletes build into their recovery routine. The Thermo Flex makes exactly this switch possible at the press of a button, with three levels each for cold and heat.
When do I use cold, when do I use heat?
Heat (3 levels up to 47 °C) works best before exercise and for tension: it loosens muscles and improves circulation.
Cold (3 levels down to 5 °C) is ideal after intense exercise or for acute discomfort: it has a calming effect and leaves you feeling refreshed and light.
Contrast (alternating warm and cold) is great for recovery when you want to combine the benefits of both in one routine. On easier days, gentle heat is often all you need.
Which body parts can I use the Thermo Flex on?
Thanks to the adjustable strap, the Thermo Flex fits many body areas. Typical use cases:
- Knee: after running and jumping sessions
- Shoulder & neck: for tension after long periods of sitting or training
- Back: upper and lower back for stiff muscles
- Calf & thigh: for tired legs
Treat exactly the area that needs attention — hands-free and without holding anything in place.
How do I attach the device hands-free?
Using the included adjustable strap, you fix the Thermo Flex directly to your knee, shoulder, calf or back. The strap stays secure without cutting in — so your hands stay free.
That means you can keep moving, stretch or simply relax while the session runs. No holding, no cable, no power socket.
How do I use the Thermo Flex correctly?
Strap the device onto the target muscle area and select your level. A typical session lasts 15 to 20 minutes. Start at a moderate level and adjust intensity to how it feels.
Before exercise:
Use heat to warm up muscles and boost blood flow.
After exercise:
Use cold or contrast to calm tired muscles and support recovery. With contrast, alternate between warm and cold several times.
Is the Thermo Flex wireless — and how do I charge it?
Yes, the Thermo Flex is fully wireless and runs on a built-in 3200 mAh battery. It charges conveniently via the included cable and is ready for multiple sessions.
So you're not tied to a socket — use it on the pitch, in the studio or on the go. At roughly 149 × 76 × 50 mm, it fits in any sports bag.
Who is the Thermo Flex suitable for?
Anyone who doesn't want to stop for every little niggle: athletes, teams and active people who want to treat minor issues on the spot — plus anyone with tight muscles from everyday life.
Because you control intensity and temperature yourself, the Thermo Flex works equally well for intense post-competition recovery and a relaxed evening routine. You decide what your body needs right now.
When should I not use the Thermo Flex?
Heat and cold therapy should not be used if there are medical reasons against it. Never apply the device directly to bones, joints, the spine, the neck/head or to injured areas. If you're unsure or have a pre-existing condition, please check with your doctor first.
Do not use with:
- acute injuries, fresh bruises, sprains or fractures
- open, irritated or infected skin
- cold intolerance (e.g. Raynaud's syndrome, cold urticaria) — applies to the cold function
- circulatory disorders, thrombosis or known tendency to thrombosis
- acute inflammation, fever or infections
- malignant tumours in the area of application
Consult a doctor first if you have:
- reduced sensitivity to heat, cold or pain (e.g. diabetes with neuropathy)
- blood-thinning medication or increased tendency to bleed
- a pacemaker or other implanted devices
- pregnancy
- post-operative conditions or joint replacements
